![]() ![]() Instead of a hard-and-fast date, we merely read that the offer was good "throughout the Windows 7 life cycle." Note that LeBlanc didn't say exactly when this new Windows XP downgrade offer would end. If you work in an XP-only shop, where old PCs are rapidly turning into boat anchors and the powers that be refuse to sludge into the 21st century, that change could save quite a few shekels. But for companies without Software Assurance, the extension means there's more time to buy new PCs with Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate preloaded, then install fully licensed Windows XP on those PCs, without having to pay more for XP. The announcement doesn't mean anything to companies that have paid for Microsoft's Software Assurance plan - those folks have "downgrade" rights to just about anything. Enabling such rights throughout the Windows 7 life cycle will make it easier for customers as they plan deployments to Windows 7. Going forward, businesses can continue to purchase new PCs and utilize end user downgrade rights to Windows XP or Windows Vista until they are ready to use Windows 7. the OEM versions of Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate will continue to include downgrade rights to the similar versions of Windows Vista or Windows XP Professional. Buried in that announcement was an interesting tidbit, quite unrelated, commiting Microsoft to extending its deadline for "downgrade" rights to Windows XP:Į have decided to extend downgrade rights to Windows XP Professional beyond the previously planned end date Windows 7 SP1. On Monday, Microsoft's Brandon LeBlanc announced on the official Windows Blog that the beta versions of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 had just been released to the public.

I t will be a simple piece of art for the nursery or a really cute page in the baby scrapbook. Everyone “leafed” a thumbprint and signed their name. Annie used the “leaf a thumbprint” print she used at a previous shower. We ditched the idea last minute, after attempted to paint over it with no luck. ![]() By didn’t work out, I mean I attempted to draw something in permanent black marker on the puzzle that was well… ugly. We had big plans to use a puzzle guest book, but like I said planning from another state was uber tricky. A super simple way for guests to self check their answers and start up conversation! I added the pull tab to a plain white sheet of card stock with a glue stick. I made the answer sheet out of a manila envelope and card stock. Lucky for us, Vikki had the netted frame on hand, and Annie had orange spray paint at home! I cut out some letters and a mustache for a sign, and voila free baby shower game! Then I used note cards to cut out conversation bubbles and write the incidents down as gender neutral as possible. I e-mailed Annie and Austin’s (Annie’s husband) moms’ and asked each to send me 10 things Annie or Austin did before age 7. ![]() It was a fun (free) activity for guests to wander around and learn a little more about the parents. ![]() After all, Annie and I are both teachers at heart. I hosted a beach themed baby shower last summer and we played 2 games: Who did it and Who’s Who? For the little man shower this year, we did Who did it as more of an activity center with a self check answer sheet. ![]() The #images app is available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, Singapore, Philippines, and Japan.
